Staff Engineer. Functioned as an engineer in the Heating & Cooling Plant division of the Mechanical Engineering Department. Worked on designing various size projects from small service plants to extensive plants delivering high pressure steam and chilled water systems for hospitals across the nation.
TSP, Inc.: 1977 – 2018
Staff Engineer: 1977 – 1984. Functioned as an engineer in the Mechanical Engineering Department. Worked on many various size projects throughout the upper midwest designing Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems for hospitals, schools, universities, office buildings, churches, recreational facilities, arenas, banks, military and government buildings.
Department Head: 1984 – 1990. Functioned as the Mechanical Engineering Department Head overseeing the workload, scheduling and personnel needs of the department. Additionally, overseeing the design solutions for the entire department.
President: 1990 – 2002. Functioned as the President of the parent organization’s Sioux Falls office. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing, selling, staffing needs, office workload, policy & procedures and assuring clients are served well and satisfied.
CEO: 2003 – 2018. Functioned as the CEO of the parent organization. Responsible for the eight office locations throughout the upper midwest. Served as Chairman of the Board overseeing the organizations needs for vision, marketing, selling, growth, personnel needs, setting policy & procedures, budgeting and financial stability.

President: Founded a mechanical engineering consulting firm focused on assisting clients with troubleshooting mechanical systems, with a focus on HVAC systems.

- South Dakota Army National Guard, 1972 – 1979. Honorable Discharge as Staff Sergeant. Served as a MOS 55B20, Ordnance Storage and Disposal Specialist.
- South Dakota Air National Guard, 1984 – 2008. Honorable Discharge as Lieutenant
Colonel. Served as a staff officer in the 114th Civil Engineering Squadron finishing as the
Squadron Commander. Activated in 2003 during Operation Iraqi Freedom serving in Iraq as the Commander of an Expeditionary Civil Engineering Squadron setting up a Bare
Base Operation at Tillil Air Base, Iraq. The effort resulted in being awarded the most outstanding Civil Engineering Squadron in Nation for the Guard and Reserve in 2003.
